The Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School (AJMLS) Public Interest Law Society (PILS) will host its annual “PILS Auction.” Established in 2010, the annual auction—PILS primary fundraising event—raises funds to support the Renata Turner Award for Public Interest Law and recognizes students who have made an extraordinary contribution to our community through public interest work and who have demonstrated an interest to continue that commitment. After a brief hiatus, the beloved event is back and expected to welcome all facets of the AJMLS community – students, faculty, staff, alumni, and fans.

The Renata Turner Award is intended to defray costs associated with performing unpaid public interest work in the legal field during the 2022 summer semester.

A non-profit, student-run organization, PILS encourages students to work for non-profit legal organizations or government agencies. Through this auction, PILS hopes to increase available aid to enable more students the opportunities to work in public service.

The award supplements students who are committed to providing public interest services to disadvantaged individuals. This year’s auction will be attended by over 200 legal professionals and will be held on March 11, 2022, at the Atlanta Tech Village. We're asking that donations (monetary or donated services/items - gift cards, comps, etc.) be received by February 22, 2022.
