The Mastodon Fair is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that started in 1979, it is completely funded by donations with no state or federal backing. It supports students, teachers, parents, and the community in the development of the creative and scientific process to submit creative and novel projects in the annual regional competition held each March at Jefferson College in Hillsboro, MO; along with hosting community events to expand creativity and knowledge.


It is open to students entering grades K-12 & adults 18 & up. Student registrants can be enrolled in public, private, or be homeschooled. Registration is open to 18 counties--IL: Brown, Jackson, Perry, Randolph, & Union; MO: Callaway, Crawford, Dent, Franklin, Gasconade, Jefferson, Maries, Osage, Phelps, St. Francois (Art Only), Ste. Genevieve (Art Only), St. Louis (Art Only), & Washington.


This event helps fund our organization in regards to scholarships and our other funding sources (camps, workshops, etc.).
