2023 Annual Auction - Carnival!
Gala/Party for Benjamin Stoddert School PTOMay 12, 2023 5:00 PM to May 20, 2023 10:00 PM
This annual fundraiser is the primary way the PTO raises money for the school. Not only does it raise the needed funds to support important programs that benefit all children at Stoddert, it is a fun, social gathering for parents, teachers, administrators and school supporters to help strengthen our Stoddert community.
Sadly, the city of Washington DC does not provide the necessary funds that Stoddert needs to operate. It is incumbent upon the parent community to raise money to pay for things that the school does not get from the city government. The parent community (called the PTO for Parent Teacher Organization) pays for things that benefit each and every student such as giving teachers stipends to buy classroom supplies, paying for educational subscriptions like RazKids and iReady, supporting the salaries of the science and garden teachers, paying to take care of the school grounds and so much more. If your child attends Stoddert, he or she is benefitting from PTO supported programs which are paid for with funds from the contributions of other Stoddert parents.
The fundraiser has multiple components and raises money in three specific ways:
Online Auction (available the week before the event)
Silent Auction (at the event on May 20th)
Live Auction (at the event on May 20th)
