Wildlife baby season is the busiest time of year for Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation (WRR). From
February through September, and generally beyond that, the organization rescues, rehabilitates, and releases thousands
of orphaned, injured, or displaced baby animals. To put it into perspective, in 2022 Wildlife Rescue received 10,069 wild
animals, and of that number 6,916 of them were infants, juveniles, or neonates.
Every baby who comes to WRR receives specialized care to save their life. This takes an immense amount of resources to
provide the necessary care for each baby to regain strength and stamina and learn the skills needed for life in the wild.
To prepare WRR for the orphans who need help, the organization is hosting their annual Baby Shower for Wildlife on
Saturday, March 25th, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. CST at The Rosemont located inside Denman Estate Park at
7735 Mockingbird Ln, San Antonio, TX 78229

At this event, participants will have the opportunity to meet and interact with WRR Staff Members, enjoy vegan and
vegetarian fare, create animal enrichment items, participate in bingo, raffles, and silent auctions, shop for WRR
merchandise, and of course, share in helping tiny orphans. WRR is also asking for the donation of items and monetary
contributions to assist WRR in caring for over 6,000 baby opossums, squirrels, songbirds, raccoons, and many others.

These items may be dropped off before, during, or after the Baby Shower for Wildlife, or they can be
shipped to the WRR Sanctuary at 335 Old Blanco Road, Kendalia, TX 78027. In addition, monetary gifts
can be made at https://wildlife-rescue.org/2023BabyShower. All donations will directly benefit a baby
wild animal in WRR’s care over the next several months.
