For over 50 years, the Cranford Jaycees have been making impacts on the Cranford community.

Throughout the year, the Jaycees hold many events to raise funds that go towards the Jaycees Scholarship Fund.   Each year, the fund gives out over $30,ooo in scholarships to Cranford High School students.   In addition, we donate to local causes such as the Cranford First Aid Squad, Cranford Schools PTA 5k runs, Memorial Field Turf fund, and the Cranford Fund for Educational Excellence.   Lastly, we run annual events (for no charge) that the community have come to enjoy including the Orange Avenue Egg Hunt, the Halloween Parade, the Kids Christmas Party at the Community Center, and the Father’s Day Fishing Derby (to name a few).

We have three signature events throughout each year that help us raise enough money in order to run our operation that currently has over 250 Cranford residents/members:  the FireCracker 4 miler held annually on July 4, Oktoberfest, and the Beefsteak Dinner (held in the Spring each year).

The Beefsteak Dinner is a fun event that sells out easily each year (this is our 17th annual!!!)   The event is held at the Kenilworth VFW and has 3 comedians that entertain the crowd of over 500 local men that feast on all-you-can-eat beef, fries, and salad.  This year’s Beefsteak Diner will take place on Friday, May 19, 2023, from 7p-11pm.
