For 19 years, BSNCF has made a difference in countless lives through a variety of projects which offer comfort to cancer patients and their families.  The Foundation's mission is to support women of all ages affected by cancer and the loved ones who care for them by providing unexpected acts of kindness. This was inspired by a poem Mary Barnett left for her family where she asked that her spirit live on through acts of kindness. BSNCF is committed to making a positive impact on their emotional and physical health, lifting them up and offering hope.
Random acts of kindness are even more important during COVID-19.  Cancer patients are high risk and vulnerable leaving them susceptible to depression.  Requests for Smile Kits have doubled during COVID-19.  The volume is overwhelming. Please join us being the light at a dark time.   
Our current project is "Cancer Care Packages" for female cancer patients offering a random act of kindness.  Each care package costs approximately $25.  Care packages contain soothing items such as a fuzzy blanket, a journal, a stress relieving adult coloring book, colored pencils, mints, custom lip balm and maybe even something a little silly. They also include a masks in bright cheerful patterns.  And a hat called "Jenny's Halo" made with love by John's mom in Jenny's memory.  To extend a personal touch, packages also include handmade cards of encouragement created by volunteers, students, and other survivors. All items are branded with smile sayings like "When life gives you LIMES, rearrange the letters to say SMILE.
