Dear Community Supporter,

Hitch Elementary School, a Chicago Public School, has earned the highest CPS school rating, a Level 1+, since
2013. While great news, and indicative of our caring community of parents, children, and residents of the
45th Ward, this achievement does not provide the funds we need to keep our school and students
competitive and thriving. Our students – nearly 600 strong - represent the diverse socioeconomic levels of
our city and neighborhood, and need your help to achieve their potential. The goal of the Hitch PTA is always
the same, to put the children of Hitch Elementary first! We do this by working hard to provide the “extras”
that enrich our children’s educational experience.

Thanks to the support of our community supporters, generous contributions from companies like yours and
the hard work of our dedicated volunteers, the PTA has been able to put more than $90,000 towards
Student Programming and Enrichment, Facilities Enhancement, Family Engagement and School Spirit over the
last few years.

This year, during the entire month of May, the Hitch Elementary PTA, a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit
charitable organization, will host a Raffle Calendar FUNdraiser to benefit the students of Hitch. Due to the
ongoing challenges brought on by the Covid-19 Global Pandemic, the Hitch PTA has faced unprecedented
challenges to keep families involved, while ensuring our number one priority is our student safety. We’ve
worked hard to find creative, SAFE, new ways to raise the much-needed funds the PTA provides for student
enrichment, after school programming, and technology needs.

This event is going to be held completely virtually, This event will feature one substantial raffle prize each day
for the entire month of May. The calendars will be sold for $15 each and the proceeds will make a big
difference in helping us reach our fundraising goal.

We are in the process of collecting items for our silent auction and raffle and are writing to ask if you can
help by making a tax-deductible monetary, in-kind or merchandise donation. Merchandise or gift certificates
donated will be auctioned or raffled at the event. We are asking for your help as community members,
customers, providers, and friends. We are working to have our prizes in hand by March 15, 2023.
