Project Transformation North Texas, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was founded in 1998 here in Dallas, TX to better empower communities, provide summer programming to children, and develop young adult leaders. Since its start, the quantity and depth of services to the community have more than quadrupled. Now, Project Transformation has grown to serve 6 additional states on a national scale (Indiana, Georgia, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Washington, D.C., and Arkansas) and in more than 40 host churches and communities. The first programs in Dallas started with 22 college-aged adults (“PTNT Corps Members”) and 250 underserved children and youth. Today, 100 Project Transformation North Texas (PTNT) PTNT Corps Members mentor more than 750 children and youth, grades 1 - 12.
PTNT’s Summer Program is unique in that it not only meets a critical need in assisting the needs of children and youth from under-resourced communities, it also educates and inspires future leaders to address the long-term challenges of low-income communities through our young adult mentorship program. In light of the growing impact of COVID-19 on learning loss and mental health, the PTNT Summer Program is vital in helping children and youth continue learning and thriving.
On Thursday, April 20, 2023, Project Transformation North Texas will host our annual fundraising luncheon in celebration of our 25th anniversary “Continue to Dream” at University Park UMC, to raise funds for our programs transforming communities in North Texas.
