This is our annual fundraiser. All funds raised will go towards the expansion of our youth drop in center for yuth ages 12-24 and the addition of our tiny home village where we will add 22 units for homeless youth ages 18-24. Currenlty the building we own has had to be vacant due to the much needed infrastructure improvements. While renovations were schedule, Hurracaine Hillary finally pushed us out, sooner than we anticipated. This is the only youth drop in center in the high desert region, a region that serves about 500,000 people between all four cities. At this center youth who are at risk of homelessness or are homeless are able to drop in, cool off from the heat, make themeselves food, and more importantly build relationships with each other and the team of youth advocates and case managers. This allows us to help build a plan and get them off the streets. Part of this development plan is to add 22 units on site, as there are not enough beds, units to meet the demand of homeless youth in the region. The project has tripled in cost from the original estimate pre-pandemic and now we are turning to our local community for support at our annual gala.
