The Nashua Senior Activity Center’s premiere fundraising event, “Fire and Fusion-An Executive Chef Competition”, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Based on the TV show “Chopped” this fast paced, fun filled event features Executive Chefs from local senior living communities, healthcare facilities, and food service businesses, competing to make culinary masterpieces using secret ingredients. Growing bigger and better every year, our 10th Annual event will celebrate a theme of “Celebrate America” on May 3 from 6pm-9pm at Alpine Grove in Hollis, NH. As the largest fundraising event of the year, “Fire and Fusion-An Executive Chef Competition”, annually raises more than $60,000 to benefit the Nashua Senior Activity Center. This year we are excited to have a marquis group celebrity judges including Chef Nicole Barreira, Corporate Chef Great NH Restaurants, Susan Laughlin, Food Editor NH Magazine, and Sean McDonald, WMUR TV News Anchor. Local Media Personality Mike Morin will once again serve as the Event Host.
More than 350 people including many business and community leaders usually attend this sell-out event. The “Fire and Fusion” event is the largest fundraising event of the year for the Nashua Senior Activity Center. As a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit, (FEDERAL TAX I.D. # (EIN): 02-0344807) the Nashua Senior Activity Center is a 100% self-supporting organization, dependent on sponsorships and fundraising for a large portion of our $400,000 budget. Our mission is “to promote healthy aging, independence, and the well-being of older adults through wellness, educational, cultural, and recreational programs and services.” We hope that you will partner with us as we enjoy our 10th annual cooking competition in support of seniors in our community. With your generous support, we can continue our mission to serve as a vital resource for the senior community in the greater Nashua Area.
