First Tee—South Dakota is a non-profit youth development organization that impacts the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf.  First Tee-South Dakota is conducting an online auction fundraiser for our program. This event is one of the larger fundraising opportunities during the year for us. The silent auction will be held from April 3-9, 2023.

With your support we will be able to raise money to help the participants of First Tee—South Dakota.  The money raised will be used to offer scholarships and equipment to the at-risk and underprivileged youth from our community.  Our program does not turn any young person away due to an inability to pay.  Because of this, we have many young people who have never held a club, or don’t own equipment.  These young people will be very excited to use the equipment we will be able to provide with the money raised from this event.

First Tee teaches young people, through our life skills education, nine very important core values that are not only necessary on the golf course but also essential in everyday life.  The nine core values are sportsmanship, respect, responsibility, courtesy, confidence, judgment, integrity, perseverance, and honesty.  This year we had 846 participants at Elmwood Golf Course in Sioux Falls, 75 elementary schools involved with the National School Program, and over 2,000 in outreach programs.  We also have 4 more affiliate sites in South Dakota who are offering the life and golf skill program of First Tee (Aberdeen, Brookings, Dell Rapids, and Madison).  Overall, we have more than 34,000 youth participating in First Tee programs in South Dakota.
