Description

The Nicholas Dworet Memorial Fund, Inc. is a 501c(3) charity established in 2018 to honor the life of Nichoal Dworet who was a victim at Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS on 2/24/2018. Nick was an amazing young man who touched everyone he knew. He had a zest for life, loved swimming and his family. He was a very hard worker in and out of the pool. He was ready to take his talents and beautiful personality to swim at the University of Indianapolis in 2018 and attempt to swim for his mother's native country of Sweden in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

His parents and loved ones established this charity to keep Nick's memory alive and use his memory as an inspiration to young swimmers to follow their dreams and do everything in their power to achive them. We have established several scholorships in Nick's memory and hold events that we know would make him proud.

One of favorite evnets is the very first one that we created whihc is a FREE swim stroke clinic. This day is all about the kids and giving them access to some great coaching and making it a special day where they feel loved. We start out by giving them a great gift when they register. We then let them know what we have in store for them. We recruit some amazing coaches, from local colleges, swim clubs, and high schools to teach them how to become better swimmers after which we feed them! If you know swimmers, you know they love to each as much as they love to swim, Nick surely did! After that we have a raffle which we make sure everyone gets a prize!

Please consider being a sponsor for this event or making a donation on our website www.nicholasdworetfund.org. All the money goes to events like this and scholarships.

We appreciate your support!
