Ausome Ottawa is a registered charity and the only organization in our community dedicated to providing barrier-free sport and recreation programs for children living with autism – at no cost to families. We rely on donations to keep our programs and athletes running strong. 

We will be holding our popular Ausome Holiday Auction again this November to raise critical funds – and we need your help! 

The need in our community right now is overwhelming and urgent. 1 in 50 children has an autism diagnosis and many face significant physical, communication, sensory, financial and other barriers to accessing school and community sports programs. As a result, they often end up on the sidelines while their peers play and reap the physical, mental and social-developmental benefits of being active together. This in turn results in them having poorer physical and mental health outcomes compared to their peers.

Ausome was founded to eliminate those barriers. We create a safe, supported and welcoming environment in which all children with autism can participate meaningfully, build their skills, courage and independence, and develop lifelong healthy habits – as well as friendships! 

But demand is far greater than we can meet. Most of our programs fill up in under 5 minutes, leaving hundreds more on the waiting list for their chance to play. 

That's where you come in. Your contribution to our auction will directly help to fund the creation of more program spaces to get more children off the sidelines and into the game.
