The Houston International Seafarers Center provides many welfare and humanitarian services to the seafarers whose ships dock at the port of Houston daily. We are a 501c3 organization, and have a facility where seafarers can come to relax, unwind, and connect to Wi-Fi, call home, and buy toiletries and/or souvenirs for thier families back home. We also provide transportation services for those who wish to go shopping. During the pandemic, seafarers continued to transport goods to us to ensure as much normalcy as possible to our lives; all while experiencing lengthier contracts away from their home and family. The HISC staff has adapted our programs to take "home" to them when they haven't been able to leave their vessels. The funds raised at the Maritime Gala allow us to continue to carry on our mission.

Every year we host the Maritime Gala as the principal fundraising event for the seafarers center. This event will allow you to showcase your company to more than 500 maritime, energy, and logistics business leaders. The gala will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Houston Marriott South. Your company name and logo will be featured in our catalog and on all of our social media sites.

At this time, we are requesting donations in the form of gift cards, certificates, tickets, or any item that you think would catch the eye of a potential bidder used in our silent auction.
