After not holding an in-person event for the past three years, The College of Saint Rose is hosting an in-person Joseph Henry Science Fair.  For more than thirty years the Joseph Henry Science Fair has provided a venue for all Albany city students in grades 4 - 8 to enter a science fair competition.  Our event is open to students from all schools – public, parochial, and private.  In 2022, we had over 100 students representing 18 schools and 30 volunteers from the science and engineering community to judge our student entries. We pride ourselves in making sure that each student is recognized as a winner at our evening awards ceremony.  Indirectly, the Joseph Henry Science Fair drives the creation of thousands of science research projects as schools hold local competitions to determine whom to send to us.

There is no cost to students or schools for participation in this event.  We are entirely supported by donations and grants from area organizations that are interested in promoting science education and encouraging young minds to investigate their world.  We are a non-profit organization and we would welcome your sponsorship.

The 35th Joseph Henry Science Fair will be held on May 19th in the Nolan Gymnasium.  The winners will be announced during the awards ceremony, which will be held that night in St. Joseph’s Auditorium.  We are expecting at least 19 schools and over 100 students to be part of the Science Fair this year.  Additional information and updates on all events are available at the Joseph Henry Science Fair website (http://www.strose.edu/Jh).
