Profound Ladies is a local nonprofit organization (Federal EIN: 85-3396161) working to recruit and retain Black, Indigenous, Women of Color educators and then equip those women with the mentorship, training, leadership and career development pathways so their students will experience the impact of a thriving woman of color leading in classrooms, schools, and communities.
We are hosting our 2nd annual Online Silent Auction from Thursday, December 7, 2023 - Thursday December 14, 2023. Through this event we are creating a moment of joy for local teachers! We are incorporating a raffle for education leaders to win experiences and one of a kind prizes. With an in-kind product donation or the donation of a gift certificate, we are committed to include your name and logo in all digital and print promotional materials as well as a post of gratitude on social media. We are happy to share additional information about our programming upon request.
Making a donation allows us to continue to build towards a steady and reliable stream of revenue to continue combat teacher burnout. During the Silent Online Auction, we celebrate the mission of ensuring all students see themselves in the teachers who lead their classrooms. Diversifying the teacher workforce is one of the ways we can ensure students have the mirrors and windows into the world they deserve. Profound Ladies focuses on diversifying the education system by supporting BIPOC women educators in North Carolina, with a focus on those who are within their first 5 years in the classroom. As we support the retention, growth and leadership of Women of Color educators through membership, Profound Ladies members then approach their classroom with the intention to reduce racial disparities and provide a platform for equitable educational access. We currently serve over 212 members with 100% identifying as Black, Indigenous, Latinx, or Women of Color. These teachers impact approximately 4,000 K-12 students. In addition to our current members, we also work with school districts throughout North Carolina and local organizations dedicated to racial equity.
