Description

You are invited to support training programs that reduce teasing of children with Tourette Syndrome. The Pennsylvania Tourette Syndrome Alliance (PATSA) EIN# 23-2367689 is organizing our annual Pumpkin Run 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run to be held at 10:00 am on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Lower Perkiomen Valley Park, 101 New Mill Road, Oaks, PA. This fundraiser is vital in helping to support programs for children with Tourette syndrome and to promote acceptance of this misunderstood disorder.

Your donation will help to train classrooms of children to understand their classmate who has repetitive movements and vocalizations that they can’t control. The children will learn about differences including this medical condition. Our training has proven to reduce teasing and promote inclusion for children with Tourette. Your donation will also help to train teachers to support these children instead of disciplining them for symptoms of their disability, which are out of their control.

Our training programs continue to help children with TS feel understood, be supported and fit-in within their school so they can succeed! With your help we can continue these vital programs. Tourette’s does not have to limit anyone’s future, nor make them an outcast from their peers.

Please consider sponsoring this fun, yearly event—we also welcome more runners!
