SEHIA is an organization whose purpose is to provide training, education, and networking for detectives and all those involved in the investigation of homicide throughout the country.  Since 2016, we have hosted an annual, week-long training conference for several hundred attendees, and we are pleased to announce that this year’s event is in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, from November 6-10, 2023.

One of the unique aspects of SEHIA is that we donate money to support local charities and this year we are proud to be supporting the Louisville Metro Police Foundation in support of Officer Nickolas Wilt, who was gravely injured in the mass shooting at Old National Bank in Louisville, Kentucky in April 2023.    Officer Wilt, who graduated from the police academy 10 days earlier, heroically ran towards the shooting when he and his partner were shot.  Officer Wilt is has a long and challenging recovery.  The Louisville Metro Police Foundation has set up an account for financial help for Officer Wilt and his family.  

As a 501(c)(3) organization, SEHIA relies on the support of businesses to provide  donations for our event and fundraiser. We are respectfully asking for your support through a tax-deductible donation of product or gift cards that would directly enhance our fundraising efforts.  In exchange for a donation, we would happily promote your business on our social media, our sponsorship ads, and in our attendee registration documents. We will also provide you with 501(c)(3) documents at your request.
