Description

To Whom it may concern,

My name is Rashaa Al-Sasah and I am the head of youth services at the West Warwick Public Library. We are hosting a Summer Reading Program this year, starting June 26th where kids and teens can earn prizes just for reading.  Reading over the summer and attending literacy-themed events at the library is a such an important facet of a child’s summer. Numerous studies have shown that reading over the summer prevents “summer learning loss” and attending the library offers a space for safe, fun, and educational programs and activities.  Our main goal of this event is to get kids and teens excited to read, while also providing them with fun things to do over the summer.

We are actively looking for fun prizes to raffle off and use as incentives for the participants.  Each week of the 7-week program, we will be holding a drawing for one lucky winner.  We usually have over 300 children and teens participate in the Summer Reading Program each year.
