The Sutherland Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non profit tasked with raising money for Sutherland Elementary School on Chicago's South Side. Our school population is over 60% African-American and Latino/a and is over 36% low income. The Foundation raises money for enrichment activities and materials including playground equipment, buses for field trips and classroom sets of books for teachers. These school-wide improvement projects can only be done with the generosity of the community at our annual Stampede. Our students raise money and we seek to reward them witih prizes donated generously by your donors.
