Description

We are gearing up once again for Community Living Mississauga Foundation’s Annual Tribute Dinner to be held Thursday, March 23, 2023 and we are once again looking for items for our Silent Auction.

This year we are honouring Frank Giannone, President of the FRAM Building Group. Frank has been active in the City for many years and currently sits on Mississauga’s Celebration Square Community Reference Group, and the Board of Heritage Mississauga. Frank is also the founding director of the Port Credit Community Foundation.

One of the highlights of the social calendar, the Tribute Dinner will welcome over 800 guests including municipal and provincial MPs, industry leaders, corporate executives, etc. Along with honouring Frank, our goal is to also raise funds so that young people who have an intellectual disability can attend summer programs just like their non-disabled peers.

Community Living Mississauga is a non-profit organization that provides support to more than 3,000 children and adults who have an intellectual disability. Their goal is to support people on an individualized basis to actively participate in their community. Many of the programs and services Community Living Mississauga supports are unfunded, which is why we need to raise funds through events such as the Tribute Dinner.

All proceeds raised from the Tribute Dinner go towards our Children’s Summer Support and Summer Teen Activity Programs. These programs offer young people who have an intellectual disability an opportunity to attend summer camps just like their non-disabled peers. Last year, we were able to send more than 200 kids to camp programs thanks to the proceeds raised at the Tribute Dinner.

I hope you’ll be able to help us out with a donation. I look forward to hearing from you,

Margaret
