Empower Missouri is the oldest and largest anti-poverty advocacy organization in our state. For over 120 years, Empower Missouri has been at the forefront of driving positive change, working to secure  basic human needs and equal justice for every Missourian. We are nonprofit and nonpartisan, and work with a vast network of service providers throughout the state to support and elevate the voices of those most impacted by laws that perpetuate the cycles of poverty.

On June 29, 2024, we will host our annual Advocacy Awards Brunch in Saint Louis, MO.

The Advocacy Awards Brunch is our signature fundraising event, honoring outstanding advocates in crucial areas such as Food Security, Affordable Housing, Community Justice, and celebrating our collective efforts to advance anti-poverty causes this year. 

This event celebrates our collective work to advance anti-poverty causes this year, and also helps us continue to provide key programs to support that work such as:

• Our three coalitions (focused on food security, criminal-legal system reform, and affordable housing), which gather advocates from around the state to join forces to advance anti-poverty legislation.
• Training, provided at low- or no cost to nonprofit direct service providers and community members who want to get involved in legislative advocacy.
• Our annual Week of Action, both a training program and a guided opportunity for advocates to visit the Capitol and engage with lawmakers.
• And so much more...
