The Historical Society holds an annual Antique Car Show and Gift Auction every July 4th as its primary fundraiser for the year. The proceeds go towards the maintenance and preservation of the Lakehurst Historical Museum. As well as many free community events for the townspeople of Lakehurst and surrounding areas, such as pumpkin painting and Fall Fun for the youngsters, Trolly Rides around the iconic Lake Horicon and numerous educational events regarding Lakehurst, Ocean County and the Pine Barrens in general.
