Bushkill Township Volunteer Fire Company has an annual carnival each year in the spring. This year it will be run  May 1-st 5th 2024. New for 2024 we will have a special hour for special needs children and adults with disabilities! This will make our event an all-inclusive event for everyone to enjoy! Also, in 2023 we had record attendance in 1 day than we had over the past 38+ years in a 4-day total attendance! Our event is steadily growing with a widespread regional advertising campaign. We had close to 35,000 in attendance in 2023, previous years, we were close to the 20,000 attendance range. While the fire company runs most of the food stands at the carnival, the Ladies Auxiliary (firefighters wives) run the silent auction/tricky tray in our social hall. This year, we will be saving our funds for our heavy rescue truck that we recently signed a contract to build custom for our community. This will replace a custom heavy rescue from 1985 (39 years old). The cost of this new heavy rescue will be around $1.5 million dollars and come un-equipped. These funds all have to be produced with volunteers doing fundraisers such as the annual carnival. The annual carnival is our biggest fundraiser of the year and features 12+ rides, food, games, live entertainment, educational shows, guest attractions, live music, beer tent, bingo, pony rides, crafters, vendors, and the silent auction in which this Donation Match is being made for donations.
