Description

Center Stage Productions (CSP) is a non-profit youth theatre organization with a mission to engage young people in musical theatre created in a safe and inclusive environment.  We strive to include all children ages 8-18  by assuring that:

- Anyone who wants to perform can we do not make cuts
- Every request for tuition aid is granted
- Diligently continuing our long history of non-traditional casting that gives equal opportunity to every race,  ethnicity, socio-economic status, ability, religion, sexual and gender identity.

In the 2023 season, CSP made a significant impact, reaching 332 students, employing 17 professional performing teaching artists, and engaging over 6,500 community audience members. Through partnerships with the Escondido Union School District and the YMCA, we offer free afterschool and summer musical theatre programs to elementary school students, resulting in a 63% increase in our impact over 2022. With support from partners like you, we provided 31 scholarships to students in need and distributed over 300 free performance tickets to students and community members.

CSP has been recognized by the National Youth Arts Awards for programming excellence. Past awards include Outstanding Ensemble, Outstanding Choreography, and Outstanding Music Direction, and youth participants were recognized in their individual roles and as Artists of the Year. We have been featured on KUSI and San Diego Theatre Connection.

Throughout our time as a performing arts organization, we have seen over and over again how important the arts are to our community.  Not only does creating theatre bring joy, but it also builds communication skills, sparks imagination, fosters collaboration, promotes empathy, and instills discipline.

Please consider donating cash, gift certificates, merchandise, and services of all kinds. With your support, CSP can continue to provide affordable and accessible musical theatre opportunities for youth in our community.

We appreciate your support and partnership in furthering our mission.
