2024 Golf Ball Drop
Other Event Type for Boy Scouts of America/ Susquehanna CouncilJun 03, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
The Susquehanna Council Boy Scouts of America, serving Clinton, Lycoming, Northumberland, Union, and Snyder counties, is preparing for their annual Golf Ball Drop Fundraiser, scheduled to happen June 3, 2024. This fundraiser is very important to us as it helps us to serve over 1200 youth in our area and to prepare those youth to be the strong leaders of tomorrow. These youth are learning the valuable lessons of leadership training, character development, teamwork, and citizenship skills along with mental and physical fitness to prepare them to become those future leaders for our communities.
The Golf Ball Drop Fundraiser started three years ago in our Council and has continued to grow each year. For this fundraiser, golf balls are dropped out of a helicopter onto a golf course and winners are determined by which ball is closest to the hole. This year, Susquehanna Council is looking to expand the prize pool in hopes to boost golf ball sales so that we may continue to make a difference in the lives of youth, their families, and the communities where they live. The success of our fundraiser exclusively depends on contributions from sponsors who generously donate various items for our prize pool. Not only does your item benefit our program by providing opportunities for youth making sure that each Scout learns the values of the Scout Oath and Law, but also benefits your business as well as this is a fantastic product placement and advertisement opportunity for promoting your business.
Donations will be accepted through May 31, 2024. Your donation is tax deductible. Upon receipt of your donation, if you include the retail value of your donation, we will send you a thank you letter which will serve as your receipt for tax purposes.
You may mail your donations directly to the address above: Attention Ashley Sparrow/Golf Ball Drop, or if you are local within our 5 counties (Clinton, Lycoming, Northumberland, Snyder, or Union), you can call the number above and arrange for your donation to be picked up if you prefer.
