Children's Aid, Inc., a 501(3)(c) nonprofit located in Calvert County, Maryland, has been assisting our neighbors - families in need - for the last 14 years.  Currently, we operate several programs. The Fresh Start Back to School program provides children with a new backpack filled with new school supplies.  To date, 2,100 local students have participated in the program and were able to start the new school year with the supplies they needed. The purpose of the Great Book Giveaway Program is twofold: to give books to children who otherwise might not have books (or many books) of their own and to educate parents on the importance of reading aloud to their young children. The Christmas Cheer Program provides filled Christmas Stockings to youth participants of the local Shop with a Cop program.  The Memorial Scholarship Program grants a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior pursuing a degree in Education and a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior pursuing post-secondary career education or technical training.

Our annual online Holiday Auction will run online from November 15 – November 29, 2024.  All of the funds raised from this event will be used to further Children’s Aid’s work in our local community.  All donors will have their company website linked to the auction website, be acknowledged on Children’s Aid, Inc.’s website and social media channels, and be acknowledged in our quarterly newsletter.
