The Sturge-Weber Foundation International Family Conference is a 3-day event where families and key subject matter experts from around the world come to educate, network, and have fun. In many cases, this is the first time our patients meet others like themselves and hear subject matter experts talk about their rare syndrome. Sturge-Weber Syndrome is a very rare neurological syndrome that affects 1 in 50,000 people. SWS causes seizures, port wine stains on the face and neck, and glaucoma. Our families see many specialists, and this event gives them comfort. Our goal is to bring everything they will need to one place.
