We need your support now more than ever to ensure the Wyckoff Family YMCA can continue to serve our Special Needs population with the high level of support thye deserve.  This year's event is scheduled for Wednesday September 18, 2024, at the beautiful Indian Trail Club. At the Wyckoff Family YMCA, all our members are special to us and deserve the very best programming and services to reach their full potential.  Because of past support, our clients with special needs engage in the following: Wellness training through nutrition and exercise; building independence through instruction of self-help and life skills; and developing friendships through the enhancement of social skills; The Special Oympics Basketball team, Wyckoff Y Revolution completeed their second season finishing with bronze.  This June our inaugural Special Olympics Track and Field team, Wyckoff YMCA Revolution, will be competing at the Summer Games at the College of New Jersey; Y management has begun work on a prevocational program to help participantsenter the work force and be successful.  Currentl, they are making candles that will be sold at various events with all the proceeds going back into their program.  The scents include, "Self-DeterMINTation" and Self EnFLOWERment"; Daily transportation to the YMCA where participants learn to swim, exercise with Fitness Foundations (one-on-one fitness), expand their social and emotional learning. engate in group games, martial arts instrctuion, play tennis, have a blast in Zumba class and so much more; Field trips include; classes at the Apple Store, Buehler Challenger and Science center, Bear Mountain and more.  They enjoy dining out at local restaurants.  These field trips give our participants educational experiences away from their regular school environment.  As you can see, support like yours, helps to creat a robust program for so many spcial members who rely on the Wyckoff Family YMCA.  Thank you for considering donating to this event.  Your donation will be used during the auction portion of the event, ensuring we can continue to enhance the programmign for this special population.  TOGETHER we can continue to impact lives!
