As the Lunar New Year approaches, P.S./M.S. 184M: Shuang Wen School is excited to announce our Seventh Annual Silent Auction, held in conjunction with our school-wide celebrations. We are reaching out to request a donation of goods, experiences, services or gift cards that will help us raise money for educational and school-focused projects to enrich our public school and make learning exciting and fun for students.

Shuang Wen School is located in Lower Manhattan and is New York City’s only Mandarin/English Dual Language public school, serving over 700 students in grades 3K-8. Our students consistently earn accolades for high academic achievement, which has made it a choice school. 

Parents from all five boroughs of New York City have chosen Shuang Wen for their children and, as you can imagine, they are very engaged and focused on their students’ success. While your generous donation provides outsized benefit for our students, we hope that in return you find this to be an excellent opportunity to reach engaged New York City families and show that you are a business that supports their children.

The Department of Education does not provide everything schools need, so your generous donation is vital to helping us fund projects such as:

• Our award-winning Debate Team;
• Lockers for students in Grads 4-8;
• Classroom supports including books, art and music supplies;
• Health and wellness supports such as lice checks, HEPA air purifiers and MERV-13 filter upgrades for every classroom and office;
• Family engagement activities;
• Small tokens of appreciation for the incredible staff that works hard to ensure our students thrive.
