We are excited to announce two weeks of online silent auction fundraising from May 5 - 19. Our capstone evening event, Soirée Under the Stars, will take place on Friday, May 17, at the historic Headhouse Shambles in Society Hill. We also will hold family-friendly events beginning April 20, including school and community service events that embody this year’s fundraising theme, One World, One Meredith.

Why do we fundraise?

Meredith was proud to be named the #1 Elementary School in Philadelphia and #49 in Pennsylvania by U.S. News and World Report this year. We are so honored by this distinction, but this is not something we accomplished on our own. We owe credit to all of our supporters - in the school, neighborhood, city, state, and beyond - who have helped make this possible. The underfunding of Philadelphia public schools has been well documented and debated, and despite being high-performing, Meredith is one of only a handful of city schools that does not receive Title I funding. Financial support from donors like you is critical to us maintaining the high standards and benefits that have helped Meredith capture this enormous honor. We truly are #StrongerTogether.

The Meredith Auction & Events is organized annually by the Meredith Home and School Association (MHSA), a volunteer-run 501(c)3 organization that works to strengthen Meredith School in all the ways that public funding falls short. MHSA typically supplements the school budget by funding:

Classroom Materials
Performing Arts
School Library and Technology Lab
Internal and External Beautification Efforts
Family Engagement Events
Community Engagement Events
And so much more!
