The Emily K Center’s annual Mother’s Day Ball honors the role of family and community in the development of today’s youth. Inspired by Coach Mike Krzyzewski’s relationship with his mother, Emily, the Ball brings together individual and corporate leaders for an evening of celebration in support of the Center. The 2024 Mother’s Day Ball will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Durham’s Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club. Proceeds from the Ball go to support the Center's students and our four programs throughout the year. The evening features a live auction, and one of our most popular auction items is a "Tour of the Triangle" package which includes fun tickets, gift certificates, and other items from businesses and organizations across Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. Organizations that contribute to this auction package are recognized in the printed auction brochure and in slideshows running throughout the event space and during the event program, as well as on our live auction preview webpage leading up to the Ball.
