Skydive for Veterans is a registered 501c3 charity which raises money through multiple events each year and ends with our Freedom Jump in September at Ellington Airport. Our 10th annual spring Poker Run has been a huge sucess in years past with over 200 people in attendance last year and we are hoping for even more this year. All proceeds raised are split between 2 charities, House of Heros, who help our nation's military veterans (and their spouses) who are disabled, living on a fixed income, or facing other physical/financial challenges. They perform minor repairs and make improvements to the homes of veterans and their spouses at no cost to the veteran. Work Vessels for Veterans assists returning veterans to begin their civilian careers or educational pursuits by acquiring and distributing the necessary start-up tools. They equips them with boats, tractors, farm implements, trucks, generators, trailers, mechanics tool sets, carpentry tools, laptops and whatever other "vessel" needed to support their dreams of having a business of their own.
