The Slate Valley Museum is pleased to announce the return of our Virtual Holiday Auction, part of our annual Slate Valley Museum Holiday Festival! The festival’s theme this year, “Peace on Earth,” is inspired directly by the human spirit and our capacity to gather together to celebrate and share joy. I am writing to ask that you support our Festival by donating an item again this year.

The Holiday Auction is a vital fundraiser for our museum. Every penny we raise supports our educational programs, workshops, events, and other activities that serve people who live in and visit our region throughout the year. The auction includes an array of items that are perfect for gift-giving or entertaining, which allows participants to support our organization while purchasing items that they can use or give during the holidays. Types of items offered in the auction include:

·        Holiday décor, including decorated trees, centerpieces, wreaths, etc.

·        Items for holiday entertaining, including festive food, drink, table settings

·        Gift cards, certificates, or gift baskets that offer unique experiences and/or tastings

·        Gifts and gift baskets that include materials for hobbies and special interests

·        Family oriented experiences and destinations

The auction will open at 7pm on Thursday, December 5 and will close at 9pm on Thursday, December 12.  In order to ensure that your gift is included in the auction and all related event material, please reply by Tuesday, December 3.
