We are reaching out to you today on behalf of Team Bernie McCreesh. Our organization would like to thank you for supporting Team Bernie McCreesh during our previous fundraising efforts. We encourage you to continue to learn more about Team Bernie McCreesh, as well as the man behind our cause, my dad who lost his three-year battle to oral cancer in 2018. Our family is passionate about raising funds and supporting the fight against early detection and oral cancer treatment in hopes that others will not go through the same experience.

Over the past seven years, Team Bernie McCreesh has participated in numerous fundraising activities for the Oral Cancer Foundation, and most recently, the Dental Oncology Clinic at the University of Maryland Dental School, donating over $75,000. The Clinic was started and is run by the doctors who supported Bernie throughout his cancer battle. The clinic’s mission is to provide comprehensive care for head and neck oncology patients. This year, we are continuing our support to the Clinic and hosting our seventh annual Team Bernie McCreesh Golf Tournament at Compass Pointe Golf Courses in Pasadena, Maryland on Saturday, October 19, 2024!

For this fundraiser, we are hoping to receive support and donations from businesses and individuals in the DMV community. These donations will not only add to Team Bernie McCreesh’s total contribution to the Dental Oncology Clinic, but encourage participation in this year’s tournament, along with future fundraisers we hope to host. There are specific requests Team Bernie McCreesh has of you and your organization. The multiple descriptions below show the different activities and awards we are hoping to include as part of our fundraiser. Your support in any or all of the following would be extremely generous and appreciated by Team Bernie McCreesh.

• Donation of a large item or gift card to be included in our raffle. Our raffle will be ticket-based, and the more an individual is interested in an item, the more tickets they will buy because of that particular item.
• Donation of small items to be used as prizes for the multiple small competitions we will be doing during the golf tournament. These include closest to the pin, longest drive, and a putting contest.
• Any small items to put in the “goodie bag” that all players will receive.

All sponsors and organizations that provide donations are publicly thanked as part of our event program, as well as advertised on the Team Bernie McCreesh website with photos taken from the day.
