Howard Gardner MI Charter School has enrollment for over 320 students in grades K through 8th. The Howard Gardner School Parent Forum is a nonprofit PTA/PTO type organization that helps enhance educational needs for students and staff and promote social engagement.
Focused on educational activities the Parent Forum has only one fundraising event per year to help lessen the fundraising burden on families. We host an annual walk-a-thon where students solicit laps from friends and family. Students then come together with family and friends to walk at an end of year event to raise money for school activities. Proceeds from the 2024 walk-a-thon will benefit 24/25 student activities and education along with 25% of the proceeds going towards an out STEAM learning center for students.
This event will be held at PNC Field in Scranton after a Railriders baseball game. Students will have access to the field, sign the national anthem, throw the first pitch and will provide additional entertainment from the school band and pep squad
