Friends of the Big Bear Alpine Zoo "2025 Annual Bowling for the Zoo" 

The Friends of the Big Bear Alpine Zoo is planning the 2025 Bowling for the Zoo Fundraiser and we would like your support. This fundraiser will take place: Sunday, April 27, 2025 at the Bowling Barn in Big Bear Lake Village.

Our financial goal for this fundraiser is $20,000 dedicated to purchase extra-large animal crates for use during a mandatory evacuation.  We realized this was a crucial issue when we evacuated our smaller animals during the Line Fire this past September. Currently we have access to extra-large crates from the San Diego Zoo, but this causes a stressful delay during evacuation. Clearly, we need to be better equipped to ensure the safety of all our precious animals when time is of the essence.

Here are a few ways you can help!

Join a Bowling Team!  The best way to have fun and celebrate the Zoo is to create a bowling team comprised of 5 members.  There are only 16 teams, so if interested hurry and sign up, the lanes fill up quickly! The entry fee for each team is $500. Every team member is responsible for raising $100 towards the $500 entry fee. This is typically done by asking friends and family for sponsorships… $5, $10, $20 donations add up fast. In fact, most team members can raise much more to help us reach our goal. The more sponsors the better! The most donations can win a nice prize!

Donate Items or Services - Donating gift certificates, gift cards, popular shop merchandize or services for our Raffle and Silent Auction will also help us reach our financial goal.

Cash Donations - Your cash contribution in any amount would be greatly appreciated and is tax deductible as we are a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization.  Make checks payable to: Friends of the Big Bear Alpine Zoo.
