The GBS|CIDP Foundation International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP), and related conditions. These rare, life-altering neurological disorders often strike without warning, leading to rapid muscle weakness, paralysis, and long-term disability. Through research funding, advocacy efforts, educational initiatives, and patient support programs, we work tirelessly to improve outcomes and provide hope to those navigating these challenges.

One of our signature events is the Walk & Roll program, which unites local communities to raise awareness and critical funds. We are currently organizing the 2025 Philadelphia Walk & Roll, which will take place on Saturday, June 28th at Wilson Farm Park in Wayne, PA. This event serves as a day of connection, empowerment, and community-building for patients, families, and friends. Last year’s Philadelphia Walk & Roll drew nearly 300 attendees, and we are on track to surpass that number in 2025.

Donations are acknowledged in multiple ways throughout our event:

*Social media shout-outs to our community of thousands of local supporters, patients, and families

All funds raised through the Philadelphia Walk & Roll go directly toward supporting the Foundation’s programs, including groundbreaking research grants, patient advocacy efforts, and awareness campaigns that educate both the public and healthcare professionals. This year, we aim to raise over $25,000 through the Philadelphia Walk & Roll to help expand our reach - especially in the crucial areas of early diagnosis and treatment options for children affected by GBS and CIDP, where awareness remains dangerously low.

In-kind donations help us create an even more memorable and impactful event. Items like gift baskets, merchandise, or experience certificates are used as raffle prizes to engage our attendees, encouraging raffle ticket purchases that directly fuel our fundraising success. In-kind donations not only help make the day more special for those attending but will also help advance critical research and patient support initiatives that impact lives across Pennsylvania and beyond.
