On Memorial Day weekend from 05/23 to05/25/25, our club will be hosting the 5th Silicon Valley Bonspiel and we expect to attract approximately 100 participants fielding 24 teams from across the west of the USA from Oregon, Colorado, Roseville and majorly bay areas to play at Sharks Ice in Fremont. So with volunteers and family members and friends, 120-150 people will show up throughout the weekend just to watch games at random.  

We, Silicon Valley Curling Club, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is dedicated to expanding the sport of curling in the south and east bay area. We run introductory clinics for the public to try the sport and lesson series to develop skills. We support and develop amateur curling athletes in order to participate in national, international, and Olympic competition. Our members participate in leagues throughout the year, travel to other clubs for bonspiels (tournaments), and bid to compete in national events such as US Arena National Championships and US Club National Championships. We just won Silver for the 2024 Five-and-Under National Championship and Gold for Arena National Championship at women's division. In 2023, we won Silver for Arena National Championship at women's division. Our two curlers at age 12 this year went to compete U21, U18, 5 and under, and more competitive events and won the mopac region berth at playdowns. They made the record last year as the youngest curlers who compete at U18 national event.
