2025 TAASA Conference "Seeds of Change"
Other Event Type for Texas Association Against Sexual AssaultJun 30, 2025 8:00 AM to Jul 02, 2025 8:00 AM
The Texas Association Against Sexual Assault (TAASA) is the state coalition for rape crisis centers throughout the state. It is our mission to end sexual violence in Texas through education, prevention and advocacy. TAASA is the unifying voice to eliminate sexual violence in Texas. As the statewide coalition of survivors, advocates, rape crisis centers, and allied professionals, we are committed to fostering a culture that respects the fundamental rights and dignity of all.
In order to meet our mission and provide services in our communities, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses for support.
During our two main conferences/trainings we hold a gift basket raffle to raise money for our undesignated account, this account is what we use for everything else our grants do not allow us to purchase, for example we have in the past paid for a survivor's hotel rooms when they have to speak at an event, pay our lobbyist to fight the good fight at the Capitol, these are just a few main examples of what we use the monies we raise from our annual TAASA conference or our LESAT (law enforcement sexual assault training. . We would appreciate an item, gift card, one or two night stay, spa treatment, gift basket. just about anything really so we can make baskets for our raffle. Thank you so much for your time.

Our theme, "Seeds of Change," invites us to reflect on how we nourish communities, center collaborative care, and foster healing in our work. True change, like seeds germinating beneath the soil, begins with unseen, foundational efforts—much like crime victim services and advocacy, which are often unseen and unsung.
We celebrate and support the transformative work happening across Texas. Our roots anchor and shape the movement, allowing us to grow, spread hope, and cultivate new possibilities. As pollinators for change, we are called to strengthen and expand our collective impact.
This conference will explore personal and professional growth, primary prevention, survivor-centered direct services and advocacy, system responses, SARTs, policy initiatives, and strategies for advancing the movement in Texas.
In this spirit, we seek to spark discussions to nurture local communities, center collaboration and care, and build a future rooted in long-lasting transformation. We look forward to you joining the conversation.
