Toast of the Town in Columbus, Georgia serves as the annual fundraiser for the Columbus Philharmonic Guild, Inc. dba Columbus Symphony Orchestra (TIN 58-6046789). It features an evening of world-class wines, fine foods, hand-crafted beers, Southern spirits and ends with a silent auction. It has an annual attendance of over 1600 adults each year.

The silent auction is open and visible online for two weeks prior to the event and is promoted online through social media, e-newsletters to over 7,000 recepients, and direct mail to 9,000 households. The auction is also prominently featured in the Grand Tasting hall during Toast of the Town will donated items on display along with the donor's logo, website and other pertinent information. 

Funds raised by the event provide vital financial support for the CSO's artistic and educational programming. In addition to a full season of classical, pops and family concerts, the CSO has community outreach initiatives such as providing free open-to-the-public rehearsals, discounted tickets to military members, seniors, educators, and students, free group violin lessons for two Girls Inc locations, free concert tickets for school groups, free ensemble performances and instrument demonstrations at schools, free transportation for school field trips to matinee performances, just to name a few.
