This year marks the 20th anniversary of Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus (IDR+), and to celebrate, we are throwing a fundraiser gala featuring silent and live auctions. At our last three celebrations, we raised an average of $65,000 each time, thanks to the generosity of our donors and guests. We are hoping for another successful fundraiser to continue our efforts to rescue the many deserving orphaned animals.

This year’s event will be on Friday, September 8, 2023, at the Medinah Shrine Center in Addison, IL, and we have begun collecting various types of donations, including gift cards, wine, collectable items, certificates for services, travel opportunities, and sports memorabilia, just to mention a few.

Since our inception in 2003, IDR+ (501(c)(3) proof available upon request) has rescued over 7,000 dogs and 3,000 cats, and placed them into loving and responsible forever homes. We specialize in Dobermans, but we also open our doors to dogs of other breeds and cats. As you can see, we are more than a Doberman rescue.

Over 100 dedicated volunteers in Illinois and the immediately surrounding areas are the backbone of IDR+. We do not have a facility; IDR+ is a network of foster families that selflessly offer their homes, time, and money to save these animals in need. We do our best not to turn dogs away due to age or medical issues; in fact, we welcome seniors and treat many dogs for heartworm disease.

We hope to include your generous donation in our silent or live auction. All proceeds raised will continue to fund an all-volunteer rescue that saves thousands of lives and makes many families complete.
