Description

Dear Youth Agriculture Supporter,

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Youth Ag & Leadership Foundation (4H Foundation) of Sonoma County, I would like to invite you and your business to support our 20th Annual BBQ Fundraiser Event!  This iconic Sonoma County event for family and friends of Youth Ag in Sonoma County will take place on Saturday, August 24, 2024, beginning at 4:00p.m. at The Pavillion at Richard’s Grove La Crema Estates & Saralee’s Vineyard in Windsor, CA.

The evening will include a fabulous barbecue dinner by Lombardi’s Catering, silent and live auctions, live music, local craft beer, wine, and youth project displays.  We will also be presenting awards to our Shining Star and 4-H Alumni Honorees.  The Shining Star award given by the Youth Ag & Leadership Foundation recognizes a person who has made significant contributions to the foundation and the county’s youth programs. The 4-H Alumni award honors a former 4-H Club member who continues to uphold the values of leadership, citizenship and community service that are the hallmarks of the 4-H program.

In 2023, we were able to grant $48,000 to 11 scholarships to Sonoma County Youth to help in their pursuit of higher education while exhibiting outstanding potential as future leaders. We awarded $10,250 in project grants to 12 4-H Clubs throughout Sonoma County. We are looking to grow this amount next year so we can give more to the youth to support projects, grant requests and leadership conferences.

We are asking for your support by providing a donation to our Silent or Live Auction to help support the event, support our mission of continuing to provide youth project grants and scholarships, and maintain the Youth Center in Rohnert Park. Your contribution will help give back to  youth agriculture in Sonoma County.

If you would like to support us today by giving a donation, please complete the enclosed donation form.  Thank you again for supporting the Youth Ag & Leadership Foundation of Sonoma County.

Thank you for your continued support,
