Description

One of our most anticipated events, the Annual Race for PACE, is back! It will include a raffle, snacks, refreshments, and physical activity for all abilities. Everyone is welcome at this fundraising event in support of PACE community exercise programs: the MacCardiac Rehabilitation Program, the MacSeniors Exercise & Wellness Program, the MacWarriors Cancer Exercise Program, the MacWheelers Exercise Program for Adults with Spinal Cord Injury, and the MacMS-FITT Program for individuals living with multiple sclerosis. ALL funds raised for this event go directly to support the operation of these community programs.

McMaster PACE is an exercise research and training Centre within the Faculty of Science where scientists, students, and staff are devoted to studying and improving health and well-being among older adults and people with chronic disease or disability. Community exercise programs are provided by Registered Physiotherapists, Registered Kinesiologists, Certified Exercise Physiologists, and McMaster undergraduate students. Over 250 student volunteers each year assist staff in monitoring exercise tolerance and adherence among PACE participants (donating over 26,000 hours each year!).

The PACE is also home to state-of-the-art laboratories where exercise physiologists, neuroscientists, and exercise psychologists work together to study and enhance the benefits of exercise for people with chronic health conditions and physical disabilities.

PACE research, experiential education opportunities, and community exercise programs are made possible thanks to donations and support from community partners like (business name).

This year, Race for PACE is being held on the beautiful greenspace outside of our facility on McMaster University campus. We are seeking gift cards and prize donations for our raffle. In return, we will proudly inform our supporters about your generous sponsorship by displaying your logo on our event brochures and social media channels. Please let us know if you wish to support our event in any way, as we are very flexible in creating sponsorship packages.
