This summer Theater at Monmouth will celebrate 54 years of producing innovative productions of Shakespeare and other classic plays. For more than five decades patrons have experienced outstanding productions as well as a warm and welcoming atmosphere in our theatre. The 2023 Brave New Worlds Summer Season also means the 21st year of TAM’s Silent Auction—an opportunity for local businesses, organizations, and individuals to generate great brand awareness for their products, excursions, and services while supporting the Capital Region’s only professional theatre.

2023 begins with the spring Page to Stage Education Tour production of The Reluctant Dragon brought live to elementary and middle schools for the first time since 2019. The Summer Repertory Season includes: Shakespeare’s Richard II and As You Like It; Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest; Lisa Peterson and Denis O’Hare’s An Iliad; Neil Bartram and Brian Hill’s musical The Story of My Life; and, for families, Tall Tales Twice Told. In the Fall we’ll bring back a popular tradition with Gilbert and Sullivan’s HMS Pinafore, and our Shakespeare in Maine Communities tour of Henry IV, Part 1 will travel to middle and high schools throughout Maine. None of these great productions and programs would be possible without your support.

This important fundraising event supports education programs in schools and community centers throughout the state as well as productions in Cumston Hall each year. It also serves as a great means of advertising for the businesses and organizations that participate. We hope we can count on your donation of goods and/or services to make this auction our most successful yet! 

The 2023 Silent Auction runs July 19 through August 9, and will be in-person at Cumston Hall. Past years have brought more than 10,000 patrons to view your donation in support of TAM’s work in the community!
