The Wonderland of Trees at the Holland Land Office Museum has become a holiday tradition in Genesee County.  Volunteers and staff have begun planning the 22nd annual event and are hoping our community friends can help us bring history and fun to the holiday season. Beginning on Friday, November 17th, The Wonderland of Trees is an opportunity for the community to come together as a whole, share your traditions and your fond memories and show off some good old-fashioned Christmas spirit. 
 
The 2023 theme is “The Twelve Days of Christmas” for the 22nd year of the Wonderland of Trees at the Holland Land Office Museum. We are reaching out to local businesses for sponsorships and donations, as well as to set up a decorated tree that reflects your business’s history and pride for a support donation of $50 for businesses and $10 for non-profit organizations.  Your support and donation help support the operations of the museum and keep program costs low.  We will proudly display your business name among all the event sponsors in the Wonderland of Trees advertising. 
 
For your convenience, a registration form is enclosed with the sponsorship levels. Due to limited tree spaces, early registration is suggested and must be submitted no later than October 27, 2023.  Decoration dates are October 31st through November 16th, just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Additional festive activities are planned throughout December and will be posted to the website www.hollandlandoffice.com. Come and experience the 22nd annual Wonderland of Trees! The opening gala will occur on Friday, November 17th from 6:00 to 8:30 pm at the Holland Land Office Museum. This year’s theme is “The 12 Days of Christmas.” Visit the museum to see all the wonderfully decorated trees and displays by local businesses and organizations. This year’s opening gala will feature many great gift baskets to win, including an extra special grand basket. The night will also feature holiday music by the Genesee Symphony Orchestra. After dinner hors d’oeuvers provided by D&R Depot Restaurant.

The Wonderland of Trees will run through the end of December. The basket raffle winners will be drawn Friday, December 15th. Further holiday events will also be held throughout the season. If you would like to participate by decorating a tree or contributing a basket, or general sponsorship, please contact the museum.

Each year, hundreds of visitors come to the museum from November to January to view nearly fifty trees, festive pictures, and holiday displays decorated by local businesses and organizations. The Wonderland of Trees is not only great publicity, but a great way to give back to the community, support historical and education programming at the Holland Land Office Museum, and spread Holiday cheer to all!
