Description

We invite you to join other St. Joseph and surrounding area businesses in sponsoring our 23rd Annual Women of Excellence Awards Luncheon that will be held on Thursday, June 6th, 2024, at the Civic Arena. We are proud to continue the tradition of honoring outstanding women who have contributed in a variety of ways to enhance our community.

Last year, we hosted more than 850 guests and raised just over $130,000. This year, we are pleased to announce Kelly Evans as our guest speaker! Local to Saint Joseph, Kelly carries a full plate running multiple businesses with her husband, Austin, while raising three children. Together, they host Mama Mystery – A True Crime Podcast. Kelly is passionate about researching and telling stories that honor victims and survivors. The highly successful podcast has garnered 3 million downloads worldwide and 2 sold out live recordings.

In addition to recognizing these impactful women, Women of Excellence serves as our largest annual fundraiser. Funds raised provide shelter and other vital support services for abused and homeless women and children. YWCA St. Joseph has been providing protective shelter and support services for women and children since our shelter opened in 1981. During this event, funds are raised through sponsorships, raffles, and in-event contributions.

Your support of this community celebration benefits our Emergency Shelter for Abused & Homeless Women and Children. The many benefits of becoming a sponsor are detailed in the attached sponsorship packet. Additionally, sponsorships and contributions of $100 or more are eligible for a 70% state tax credit in addition to your normal federal tax deduction. (Tax credit is calculated on the contribution minus any value of goods/services received.)
