Description

My name is Cathy Bluem and I am a volunteer with the Carolwood Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit educational organization. The foundation is dedicated to preserving Walt Disney's railroad legacy and operates Walt Disney’s Carolwood Barn on behalf of the non-profit Walt Disney Family Foundation.

 

This year is the 25th Anniversary of Walt’s Barn coming to Griffith Park. As such, we are having a weekend of events to celebrate on July 19th – 21st.  On Saturday, July 20th, we are hosting one of our famous BBQ dinners.  At this event, we will have guest panelists who were integral in bringing the barn to Griffith Park, hear from Walt Disney’s grandchildren on their recollection of growing up in the barn and more.  In addition, we will be holding a silent auction and raffle.  We are hoping to raise funds to help with operation costs of the barn.

 

I am writing to ask if you would be willing to donate an item, experience, one of a kind piece, etc for our silent auction or raffle. Your donation would be a major asset to our event and would help us raise needed funds to continue to operate the barn as a museum dedicated to the legacy of Walt Disney and his love of railroading.  We are asking for donations to be received by July 10th in order to give us enough time to organize the silent auction and raffle.

 

For your generous donation, your name would be listed as an event contributor inside our program as well as during the event.  We can provide pictures upon completion of the event to highlight your item and the winner, should you wish. We will also provide a donation receipt.

 

As previously stated, The Carolwood Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit educational organization (Federal Tax ID: 20-3112747) and receives no corporate funding from any source.  We rely on donations and events like this to support our mission.
