Description

On Wednesday April 22, 2020, we will come together as the "Ladies of the Y" to celebrate our legacy.  For the past 75 years, the Wyckoff Family YMCA has worked tirelessly with our community partners to keep our residents on track and to address their health and well-being needs.  Our goal has been and will continue to be a resource to individuals and their personal journey.  With the support of our members and donors, the Wyckoff Y Cares Fund has assisted hundreds of local families over the past five years.  We are very proud of the fact that everyone who has reached out to us for help, has been assisted in some way.  This fund offers financial assistance, subsidizes programs for teens, seniors and special needs participants, and makes our Y programs and services available to those who are unable to afford them.  EVERY dollar raised for Wyckoff Y Cares goes directly to those in need.  In 2019, because of your support and the support of so many, the Y was able to: Address the needs of 12 families who were facing critical illness, unemployement or a debilitating loss; Underwrite the cost for over 115 children and yound adults with Autism, Down Syndrome and other developmental disabilities, who attend the Y's Special Needs Programs, thus providing family stability; Provide life-altering opportunities for cancer survivors at no personal cost through the Y's Live Well Cancer Survivor Program; Respond to the isolated older adults within our communities with financial, emotional, and hopeful means and support, wo that they may reconnect with others in their community and gain more meaningful lives.  All donors are recognized in our evening program.
