26th Annual Del Mar Red Nose Run
Walk/Run for Fresh Start Surgical GiftsDec 15, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
It all started in 1939 when Robert L. May wrote a childhood classic surrounding a misfit reindeer that overcomes adversity and uses his gifts for the greater good. Fast forward to 1991 and a little known race affectionately deemed “The Red Nose Run” comes to life in Rudolf’s honor. This long standing tradition brings our community together to benefit local organizations that make our world a better place: Fresh Start Surgical Gifts and the Semper Fi Fund.
The Low & Slow Club is proud to announce it will be sponsoring the 26th Annual Red Nose Run on Friday, December 15, 2017 on Del Mar beach. We are beyond grateful for all you have done to support the two charities this annual fun-run benefits.
Proceeds from The Red Nose Run have raised over $306,000 to date for service members and disadvantaged children suffering with physical deformities. Please consider being a holiday miracle once more to further help those in our community needing your support.
The course is a 5K and a 3K run/walk on the beach. After the run, we meet at the Poseidon restaurant for refreshments, followed by door prizes, recognition of race winners, auction items and the presentation of contributions to the charities. It continues to be a very satisfying and enjoyable experience, especially during the season of giving.
100% of individual and corporate sponsorships and auction contributions directly benefit Fresh Start Surgical Gifts and Semper Fi Fund equally.
